VayaV is a cooperative association that actively develops and implements projects in the field of informal care, WMO and loneliness.
With the "Leuk-voor-Elkaar" projects, VayaV supports people in finding and maintaining lasting contacts. VayaV uses the digital and virtual world as an aid.
Local and regional organizations within the municipality are required for projects such as these to guarantee the result achieved. VayaV helps these organizations and volunteers to master the intervention aimed at the use of new media. This partnership can be formally shaped by means of a membership of the cooperative VayaV. This membership is open to all persons, organizations and agencies involved in the project.
Although each project is different, there is still a more or less uniform set-up. This is explained briefly below.
Basic Project Design "Leuk voor Elkaar" ("Fun for Each Other")

-
The recruitment of participants in a project runs through existing organizations that have direct contacts with the target group, such as meal supply, social work, social welfare, etc.
-
Groups of participants meet weekly.
-
The interconnectedness is strengthened through different game or a specific shared interest. This is combined with learning basic skills on a tablet (on loan)
-
Then the mutual contacts are also digitally enhanced with Skype / Hangouts, email and Facebook.
-
With the help of these tools, old friends, family and members of other groups are also becoming more involved in their network.
-
When the mutual contacts are strong enough, everyone is invited to share the fun of learning together with one person from their own environment / family / a friend, neighbor or acquaintance.
-
If the technique is sufficiently mastered, the introduction of the real virtual world follows. Encounters then take place in a virtual world of VayaV and in Second Live.
