Virtual Reality (VR) is a computer simulated environment where users are immersed in lifelike experiences. The senses vision and hearing are stimulated in a way that the user thinks that he is really part of the environment.
VayaV introduces people to this world because in a number of ways the virtual reality allows boundaries to disappear. These can be physical, geographical and psychological limits.
With the help of virtual realities, the world is enlarged and personal possibilities are increased.
VayaV uses existing technology and its own content to develop a virtual world. The virtual world is developed per project by professionals with the help of volunteers. As a user, you can meet others in the world using the computer. VayaV Metaverse looks like a modern computer game. It is also used in a similar way. They walk around with friends, acquaintances and strangers in beautiful surroundings. The appearance is largely chosen by itself. But with Metaverse there are no rules and there is no need to 'win'. People largely determine the rules themselves. This creates a new reality with new possibilities. Physical limitations are eliminated and new adventures can be entered together with others. This can be prepared and discussed during physical meetings.

Video: Virtual Kerkrade
Part of VayaV Metaverse is reserved for Virtual Kerkrade. In this "neighborhood" there are buildings that the residents of Kerkrade look familiar to. For example, the Roda JC stadium has been recreated and the Maria Goretti Church has been resurrected. This was demolished in 2009 in physical form. You can enter the church virtually. On the wall you can see the old stained glass windows and pictures of the demolition at the time.
